Training Title:Application of Frameworks and Structures in Project Planning and Management

Date: 20th -24th March 2017

Need for training

Complete, easy to use frameworks and structures are fundamental to effective Planning and delivery of programs.

This 5 day, how-to training takes project staff through a detailed analysis of key frameworks and structures including; Planning and applying the Work Breakdown Structures(WBS),Project Start Up Matrix, Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) -Software, Project Execution Plans (PEP), Detailed Activity plans, Pathways of change, PRINCE (Projects in controlled Environment)- Software. In addition, participants will be skilled in applying the MS-Excel Spreadsheet since most project documents are prepared using the tool.

This training takes into cognizance the fact that some participants may only have a limited knowledge in the application of frameworks, thus; facilitation is very detailed, uses lots of exercise and experience sharing to model new behavior.

Objective

This training seeks to build competencies among participants and enable them to;

  • Gain effective skills on Project Planning using templates that are convenient and easy to adopt for all the team members
  • Promote Accountability in the organization by allocating resources reasonably and allowing responsible staff understand and actualize the budgets and estimates
  • As a critical coordination tool the training will promote sharing out of detailed responsibilities for every staff member into the project and as a result failure and successes can be easily attributed
  • Training will promote Teamwork at workplace since the templates for planning bring out relationships and shared responsibility
  • Enhanced Quality of project delivery and desired change will be perfectly projected
  • Participants will be fully equipped with effective and efficient skills on Project monitoring and decision making
  • Training will facilitate participants to be champions in project Evaluation and Reporting

Training Methodology
